Agreed. Stricter, competitive programs over “Hey! You’ve got money! You’re accepted!” would be awesome.
I want ALA and state library associations to put pressure on library schools to stop accepting and graduating so many students, thereby flooding the marketplace, and thereby making it impossible for me to negotiate a salary wherein I could comfortably pay all the dues for all the various organizations that ought to be so very important to me.
